Please join CUFA for the
November Vegan Meet Up-Milwaukee at Casablanca, a
long time presence in the local vegan-dining scene located at 728 East
Brady Street. Whether you are a long-time
vegan who wants to try a new place or a new vegan, curious, or just willing to
try, you will not want to miss this awesome dining experience.
Casablanca on Mitchell Street was loved for many
years by fans of their wonderful Middle Eastern food, but sadly closed several
years ago. They now have another location on the lower East Side and the food
is better than ever, voted Best Middle Eastern Restaurant in 2007 by
OnMilwaukee.com’s diners. Casablanca has once again become a bright spot in
local vegan dining for its extensive roster of Near Eastern delicacies. The all-you-can eat buffet for only $7.95 features
something one finds hard to get anywhere else in town: an entirely meatless
smorgasbord of flavors of silky smooth hummus, tuboleh, babaghannoj, stuffed
falafel and other delights accompanied with pieces of delectably toasted pita
bread. Casablanca retains a very pleasant, calming atmosphere, with soft Middle
Eastern music playing through the spacious, clean room. Though clearly a
hopping lunchtime hotspot amongst business professionals and families alike,
the experience never feels rushed. Dining here is a true delight.
