Communities spend millions of dollars to control unwanted animals and
irresponsible breeding contributes to the problem of shelters that are
overburdened with surplus animals. CUFA’s spay/neuter program is directed
toward the main sources of these unwanted animals; homeless/feral/stray cats
and unaltered cats that are allowed to roam and randomly mate.
Spay/Neuter Coordinator, Margaret Gebhard, has been impacting the cat
overpopulation epidemic in the Milwaukee area by offering spay/neuter services
to strays, homeless and feral cats, and low-income cat guardians. Spaying and
neutering helps dogs and cats live longer, healthier lives, eliminates or
reduces the incidence of a number of health problems and makes pets better,
more affectionate companions.
If you are able to foster a cat or are willing to participate in feral
capture/spay/release please contact us and we will help you get started. If you
are able to make a monetary contribution or donate food/toys/litter, please
contact us. If you are a veterinarian or know of a veterinarian that
would be willing to provide discounted spay/neuter services, please contact us.
CUFA is a 501(c)3 organization and all donations, services and discounts are
tax deductible. To get involved please contact Margaret Gebhard at (414)
